Product Localization Manager - Apple - Singapore


Job description
Reporting to the Pacific Product Operations team in Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for the localization of Apple products in the Pacific region, making sure that on one hand they are fully compliant with regional in-country regulations, whilst on the other hand, satisfying market preferences and maximizing customer’s delight. Your scope of work will include both NPIs and Sustaining Ops.

As the Product Readiness Subject Matter Expert (SME) and tactical support team, you will need to work in tandem with your front office colleagues to develop solutions that are scalable and has the least business risks to Apple. On top of your tactical role, you may be required to lead some projects of your own.

Product management role based in Singapore covering Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific

Key Qualifications

Proven track record in setting time-line and managing project priorities.
Passion for and deep knowledge of Apple business and product lines.
Experience with Agile and SAP is desirable
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus

Description

SME in product localization and regulatory requirements in the pacific ops team
Define NPI localization requirements with WW and regional cross-functional teams
Manage execution of all roll-in or cut-in requirements
Create and maintain Bill-of-Materials (BOM) for all APAC localized SKUs
Collaborate with Packaging Ops and ID on the implementation of APAC regulatory markings & artworks
Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Apple Product Documentation (APD), Localization & Release Engineering (L&RE) & New Product Content Management (NPCM) to ensure that localized materials are available for agency certification
Work with Legal, Government Affairs and Trade Compliance on resolving and mitigating issues relating to product regulatory requirements
Work with Compliance and Environmental Affairs team to develop up-to-date knowledge on APAC product certification requirements
Resolve factory-related product issues
Perform First-Article-Inspection (FAIs) on new localized product components
Arrange and coordinate agency units (adapters, batteries, CPUs etc.) for in-country agency testing
Ensure flawless execution of POR

Education

Degree with minimum 5-8 years of relevant product management experience in an Operations or Technical capacity
