Director Marketing RPAC Retail Apple Singapore

Job Description
The Retail Marketing Director will lead a newly-stitched together group of experts, who are responsible for bringing Apple’s messaging to life, including the values around our teams, our customers, and our products. This role joins our expanding Senior Retail Leadership team; a cross-functional group responsible for the strategy, implementation, and success of our Retail efforts across RPAC. Additionally, the Director will sit on Apple’s Worldwide Retail Marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Worldwide Retail Marketing and Communications.

We are looking for an inspiring communicator and relator with broad perspective, who knows how to engage the best work and collaboration in a multi-GEO, multi-function team. Areas that the Director will look after include Communications, Marketing, Events, Contact Center Support, and Content Strategy, for both our Online and Store teams. There will be key partnerships with Corporate MarComm, Store Strategies, Store Ops, Retail Merchandising, Training, Product Marketing, Education and iTunes teams. To successfully land in this role, the Director should be a dynamic individual, who can bring a balance of empathy with clear direction and drive, and who embodies the spirit of Apple and our growing role in the community. Description

PRIMARY DUTIES
Direct the implementation for all customer-facing materials in RPAC Retail (Australia, Japan, and more countries coming in the future. Note: this role does not include Greater China)
Partner closely with worldwide teams to inform the strategy, and lead implementation and programs for Retail customer communications
Partner very closely with the Senior Market Director for RPAC, as a key voice and sounding board for Apple’s presence in the region
Shepherd Retail-specific programmes alongside broader company marketing efforts, such as product launches and seasonal campaigns
Represent Apple values in all decision-making, recommendations and development
Balance the interpretation of the desired Apple Retail experience with cultural nuances specific to RPAC
Provide design and creative input towards Events in High Profile Stores
Leverage clear judgment with decision quality and integrity to influence business partners across the world, including Cupertino, on the best ways to achieve Apple Retail's business objectives
Manage, inspire and grow individuals to build a world-class Retail Marketing and Communications team
Manage the RPAC Retail Marketing and Communications budget and contribute to bottom line profitability and revenue growth in the region

Key Qualifications

A strong sense of direction, with effective communication to global partners based in Cupertino, as well as locally across RPAC
A passion for customer service, communication, and technology
A degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields is a plus
10 years Marketing exposure, largely in management or Senior level role
Ideally brings both Retail and eCommerce experiences, but not required
Proven ability to lead and influence in a heavily matrixed organization
Strong organizational and communications/presentation skills
Multi-lingual
Ok with extensive travel across the wider APAC region and occasional travel to California
