Job Description:
Your Role Will Be To Head Up The Market Expansion Team Focused On
• Developing analytical framework and tools to evaluate, prioritise, and categorise markets
• Build best practice playbook for specific archetypes with individual “plays”
• Support Market Management Development in the go-to-market implementation
Responsibilities

The MCD department (global Market and Commercial Development) is responsible for:

• Uplift and continuously develop the LEGO Group’s sales and channel capabilities to world class within the consumer goods industry (beyond toys).
• Ensure a strategic prioritisation of new market roll-out coupled with a consistent and systematic RTM implementation approach.
• Engage in the Business Planning process as well as strategic projects linked to the strategic intent of the LEGO Group

In this way you help shape the future of play for children around the world. Responsibilities • Uplift the LEGO Group’s route to market capabilities to world class within the consumer goods industry
• To ensure a clear prioritisation of new market roll-out coupled with a systematic and consistent execution approach
• Build a key stakeholder engagement model to deliver on the prioritisation / road map
• Act as dedicated and visible head of the team who can create transparency of roles and responsibilities
• Build a team with high potential that will challenge the leaders across our global markets team as well as the balance of the Group
• Lead, manage and engage all direct reports
• Support employees in their individual development
• Participate in relevant internal and external networking activities and build/maintain deep understanding of industry trends and best practices

Primary Goals

• Be a valued and important stakeholder in the Market Management Development MMD Business Planning process
• Elevate the understanding of the LEGO Group Operating model in the sales organisation through the route to market play book and frameworks
• Uplift route to market capabilities across the global sales team and drive a mindset of continuous development and improvement
• Derive a set of playbooks for different RTMs – leveraging learnings and capturing these in play books

Challenges

• Mastering collaboration across a MMD organisation that is regionalised and has a high degree of autonomy
• The need to create a coherent and consistent approach globally
• Address the difference in capabilities across BU and regions
• A new level of transparency and harmonisation across the MMD organisation

Additional Requirements

• Route to market experience across at least 2 continents
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management experience
• A minimum 10 years with sales or business development
• Proven track record from international company within sales and channel excellence
• A strong track record of building exceptional performing teams
• Advanced English (oral and written) is a pre-requisite
• Ability to travel for this role from a London or Singapore base
